Protest at the Cathedral
The Catholic Church and Cardinal Roger Mahoney were major players in Prop 8’s passage. After the election, we took the initiative to take a somewhat controversial stance and protest at Mahoney’s home base in our backyard, the Los Angeles Cathedral.
We protested there and the ANSWER Coalition and the Latino LGBT Coalition marched from East LA to meet up for one large rally to send a message to the Catholic Church’s leaders including Cardinal Mahoney.
